Ronald David Weiss, M.D.
(Internal
Medicine)
is a
board certified internist and the founder and director of
The Doctor is In, an urgent and primary care medical
center located 20 minutes from midtown Manhattan.
Before opening The Doctor Is In,
Dr. Weiss served for six years as the attending emergency room
physician at the General Hospital Center of Passaic in New
Jersey and at the UCLA Olive View Medical Center in Los Angeles,
California.
Dr. Weiss was motivated by his work in the ER to
create a more efficient and personalized alternative to the
emergency room, where patients could walk-in for urgent needs
and subsequently receive primary and all specialty care.
His medical center has become a central address
for individuals and families in the New York metropolitan area
seeking a full-range of care, including all specialties such as
pediatrics and OB/GYN, as well as a full-service
travel/vaccination clinic.
Dr. Weiss completed his internship and residency
in internal medicine at George Washington University Medical
Center in Washington, DC. He received his medical degree from
UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School in Newark and graduated Magna
Cum Laude and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa from Rutgers
University with a dual degree in botany and music.
A resident of North Bergen, Dr. Weiss is an
active member of the community serving as the Medical Director
for both the Guttenberg and North Bergen Boards of Education.
He is also the Medical Director for Casa Manito and Rise and
Shine, two Senior Day Care Centers in Northern Hudson County
which have received top-ratings from the State. He also
frequently lectures on anti-aging and preventive medicine.
Dr. Weiss is an accomplished classical pianist
and composer and also plays first violin in the 92nd
Y Symphony in Manhattan. He is also a prize-winning photographer
and has been published in the New York Times. He is
married with two children.

Berestrand
Williams, M.D., F.A.A.P
(Internal Medicine and Pediatrics) is a board
certified pediatrician and internist, specializing in all aspects
of infant, child and adolescent care. Fluent in Spanish and
English, his vast experience in pediatric care has guided many
families in understanding infant and child growth and development,
as well as, the nature
of pediatric illness and preventive medicine.
A graduate of
Harvard College and University of Connecticut School of Medicine,
Dr. Williams has served as a teaching fellow at the Boston
University School of Medicine and has worked as a physician in
pediatrics and internal medicine at the Children’s Hospital in
Boston, Boston Medical Center, The East Boston Neighborhood Health
Center and Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr.
Williams currently serves as the school physician for the charter
schools of Jersey City, as well as the Anna L. Klein School in
Guttenberg, New Jersey. He is married and resides in Manhattan.

Steven P. Shikiar, M.D., F.A.C.S. (General
and Laparoscopic Surgery) is a Board Certified General
Surgeon whose practice specializes in offering minimally
invasive solutions to common surgical problems. With the
use of Laparoscopy, Dr. Shikiar treats such conditions as
gallstones, hernias, severe gastro-esophageal reflux, gastric and
colonic disorders.
Dr. Shikiar graduated medical school at the
Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his General
Surgery residency training at New York Medical College,
Westchester County Medical Center.
Other minimally invasive techniques are
employed in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer as well
as varicose veins, hemorrhoids and other colorectal conditions.
Dr. Shikiar
offers Venous Closure and Trivex as outpatient surgical
options for patients with severe varicose veins. Also,
hemorrhoids are often treated without painful surgery through the
utilization of rubber band ligation, done painlessly in the office.

John Hosay, Jr., M.D.
(Urology)
is a board certified
urologist. He was born and bred
in Jersey City, and one might say that Dr. Hosay has "urology in his
blood." His father, John, Sr., was a urologist in Jersey City for many
years and his mother, a urological nurse. Trained at the University of
Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, Dr Hosay specializes in urology and
has a special interest in urological cancers and stone disease.
Dr. Hosay is past
chief of urology at St. Francis Hospital and is on staff at Hoboken
University Medical Center and Christ Hospital in Jersey City. He is
also past president of the Hudson County Medical Society. He is
married with two children and resides in Montclair, and has a fondness
for sailing and playing tennis.

Dennis Kelly, MD, FACC (Cardiology)
is a board
certified cardiologist and also a board certified interventional
cardiologist. At The Doctor is In, Dr. Kelly provides
personalized and comprehensive care to all patients.
For
the past four years, Dr. Kelly has also worked with Northern New
Jersey Cardiology Associates in North Bergen. He is affiliated with
three major hospitals in the area: Englewood Hospital and Medical
Center in Englewood, New Jersey, Hackensack University Medical Center
in Hackensack, New Jersey and Palisades General Medical Center in
North Bergen.
Dr.
Kelly completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at
Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City and received and
completed a cardiology fellowship at New York University. He received
his medical degree from UMDNJ-Newark in 1995 and his B.A. degree from
St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.
In
addition to his work as a cardiologist, Dr. Kelly has worked as a
chemist has a Masters Degree in organic chemistry from the University
of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He has published his academic research in
the Journal of Organic Chemistry and Journal of Invasive
Cardiology.
Dr. Kelly is a
resident of Bergen County and is married with two children.

Matthew B. Welch, DPM, FACFAS (Surgeon / Podiatrist) is
a podiatrist specializing in the treatment of all foot and ankle
problems. He is Board Certified in Foot Surgery, and focuses on the
care of diabetics as well as the specialized needs of children. He
completed his Bachelor of Environmental Science at Cornell University,
and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the New York College of Podiatric
Medicine.
During fifteen years of clinical practice, Dr. Welch has
helped countless patients suffering from heel spurs, bunions,
hammertoes, ingrown toenails and other problems that make routine
daily activities unbearable. Patient education has always been a top
priority, and Dr. Welch has also spent many years training the next
generation of podiatrists.
Patient comfort and personal attention are paramount to
Dr. Welch, and his office is bilingual and attentive. As the health
insurance environment becomes increasingly more complicated, a great
deal of emphasis is placed on explaining the particulars of each
patient’s plan and participating in as many plans as possible.
Whether
he is enjoying the outdoors with his family, reading about history, or
treating the unique problems of his patients, Dr. Welch has a positive

Jeannette Aguilar Sujovolsky, D.O.
(Family Practice)
is a physician who specializes in pediatrics and adult medicine.
Fluent in Spanish and English, she completed her pre-med program
at Columbia University and graduated from the New York College of
Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Aguilar Sujovolsky did her residency in Family Medicine at St.
Joseph’s Hospital of Medical Science, an affiliate of Mt. Sinai
Hospital in New York and at the Memorial Health University Medical
Center in Savannah, Georgia. She has worked as a primary care
doctor at Coffee Regional Medical Center, Douglas Georgia and
Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salsbury, Maryland. A native
of Hudson County, Dr. Aguilar is pleased to be a family
practitioner on her home ground. She is married to Jack Sujovolsky,
a tennis pro and teacher, and has a young daughter.
Michael Baruch, M.D.
(Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery)
is board certified as both a general surgeon and plastic
surgeon. He is a graduate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine and
did his residency in general surgery at Montefiore Hospital and
Medical Center in New York City and Episcopal Hospital in
Philadelphia. Dr. Baruch completed his plastic surgery training at
Boston University Hospital. Dr. Baruch covers the full range of
plastic surgery, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He specializes
in hand injuries , including finger and hand fractures, as well as
hand surgery. Dr. Baruch also specializes in skin cancer. Dr. Baruch
offers Botox injections and injectable fillers. He is the president of
the Hudson County Medical Society.
James R. Cole, M.D.,
F.A.A.O.S.
(Orthopedic Surgery)
is The Doctor is In’s orthopedist. He is an
experienced orthopedic surgeon who addresses multiple orthopedic
problems. A graduate of Princeton University, Dr. Cole graduated from
Columbia University Medical School. During
the Vietnam conflict, he served as a General Medical Officer, taking
care of many injured marines and army personnel aboard the hospital
ship, the U.S.S. Repose.
He did his residency at Columbia University’s
Orthopedic Training Program and conducted his fellowship at the
Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan where he specialized in
children’s spinal deformities. Dr. Cole is an orthopedist with an
expertise in scoliosis. Dr. Cole has taught
orthopedics at Cornell University and SUNY Buffalo (his hometown).
In addition to being an orthopedic doctor at The Doctor is
In, located in West New York, Dr. Cole joined Englewood Orthopedic
Associates in 1981; a multi-disciplinary orthopedic group.
Dr. Cole has two children – a son who is
studying veterinarian medicine and a daughter teaching primary school
who is engaged to be married. He is an avid golfer and gardener.
