  1. Missing your period

Have you ever wondered if you may be pregnant? Sometimes as soon as two weeks from the last time you had intercourse, pregnancy hormones can produce subtle symptoms. These symptoms may emerge even before a positive home pregnancy test. Consult your provider as soon as you have missed your period.

  1. Breast tenderness

Since breast tissue is extremely sensitive due to hormones, breast tenderness is one of the first signs that you may be pregnant. When pregnancy hormones start to flood your body after the egg is fertilized, there is an increase blood flow that makes your breast swell and feel heavier than usual.

  1. Cramping

Cramps similar to those experienced when you’re about to get your period are  also a common sign of pregnancy. This discomfort can actually be the result of implantation when the fertilized egg attaches to the uterine wall. Your uterus may be stretching a little now to prepare for more expansion over the next nine months.

  1. Fatigue

Often, you may experience overwhelming fatigue . For example, you’ll suddenly desire to go home and take a nap in the middle of a work day. This is an indication of the developing fetus. As early as two weeks after conception, the fetus begins to use up your calories and energy stores. This new demand from your body is actually making you tired and depleted of energy.

  1. Nipple Darkening

Due to the increase in pregnancy hormones, the activity of melanocytes cells in the nipple responsible for color is affected. A pregnant woman may find that her nipples often become darker.

  1. Nausea

While morning sickness may not occur until about four weeks after conception, nausea can be an early sign of pregnancy. Some women may feel a sudden queasy/dizzy spell.

  1. Bloating

If you can’t zip up your jeans and you feel bloated – the hormone progesterone may be the cause. Progesterone makes the digestive tract slower, thus making your tummy feel puffier.

  1. Frequent urinating

Urinating more frequently during the day may be the result of your kidneys starting to work harder to fill and flush more during pregnancy.

  1. Cravings

During pregnancy, many women tire more easily. You may begin to have cravings, especially for carbohydrates, which your body will metabolize more quickly.

  1. Headaches

The increase in pregnancy hormones often leads to an increase in blood volume, which may trigger frequent but mild tension headaches. These headaches usually diminish as the pregnant woman adjusts to the hormone shifts that are occurring.

  1. Constipation

The same hormones responsible for bloating may also cause constipation.  These hormones cause your digestive track to slow down, and consequently, food may not pass through your system as quickly. Unfortunately, constipation may continue as your pregnancy progresses.

  1. Mood swings

During pregnancy, as levels of HCG hormones increase, you may experience some emotional ups and downs. Anxiety about the health of the baby, fatigue, headaches and constipation may all affect your mood negatively. .

NOW, if after reading through this you think you’re pregnant, see your doctor right away.
